Bearing Witness Story Group

When we bear witness alongside each other to the stories of our lives, something powerful happens, and we are no longer alone.

You're invited to join us in this upcoming season for a seven-week group exploring the ways our childhood stories in particular, show up in our adult lives. We find that those who have walked through painful church experiences often benefit deeply from understanding the wounds they carried with them into adulthood as they detangle some of their early trauma along with their adult stories.

The Way Home is thrilled to partner with our co-founder, Connie Angel Sanders, completing her training in Narrative-Focused Trauma Care this spring with a capstone project, featuring this beautiful opportunity to bear witness with one alone as we engage in story work together. During their time together, participants will gain insight into their own stories and begin to understand the themes of their lives.

And—as a part of this introductory group, you will have access to the Allender Center's To Be Told curriculum, an incredible value. Spaces are limited and we hope you will join us.

Isaiah 63:9

"In all their suffering he also suffered, and he personally rescued them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them. He lifted them up and carried them through all the years."
