Understanding Adult Clergy Sexual Abuse
People come to their pastors much like counselors, with the implicit understanding that they are trustworthy and safe. Sexual contact or grooming of any kind between a pastor and anyone under their span of care is an abuse of power and is known as clergy sexual abuse.
