The Story Project
GATHERING
STORIES OF
RESILIENT
HOPE
We believe in the power of stories. Putting words to our journeys toward health and healing can be part of the redemptive process, both for us and for those who come behind us. It is our hope that by sharing our stories, we can mark well the path by which we’ve come, to offer a roadmap to those who’ve been similarly compromised in their faith journeys to find their way home.

We would love to hear from you! How has God met you? What has helped bring healing to the wounds, and meaning to the heartbreak you’ve experienced? Where have you found God to be faithful in your journey home?
Many of us have found ourselves hurt by the church or living in the wake of spiritual abuse, and those experiences have left us wounded, disillusioned, confused, and far from home.

But in God’s mercy, He has led us step by step and season by season to gently recover what’s been lost and to rebuild a healthy faith on a solid, true foundation. It hasn’t been easy or quick, but every season brings new freedom, and greater joy as God does His healing work.

Jeremiah 31 describes the homecoming of the people of Israel – sons and daughters who’ve been far from home who find their way home to the arms of their loving heavenly Father again. In this beautiful chapter, the journeyers are encouraged to mark well the path by which they’ve come – to the land marked by peace and happiness, to the place where God gives rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.
